Listening to what our pupils say is important to us. It not only lets us know what we’re doing right, but what we can can do better…

We regularly talk to our pupils about their school and their learning through pupil voice interviews, informal chats and assemblies which reflect on the year. Several times a year, parents and carers can come into class and their children can talk to them about their books, learning and classroom environment. We call this our ‘Open House’, and we welcome everyone in to have a look around.

Teachers regularly choose children to take their work to the Headteacher - this is a special moment to celebrate their work and the child.

  • Little Wandle

    We began our Little Wandle phonics journey in September 2021. Since then, pupils have made rapid progress in their reading:

  • Strictly Pennine

    Back in March, many of our Year 2 children took part in the Strictly Pennine Dance festival at the Lawrence Batley Theatre in Huddersfield. It was a fabulous evening, where the children performed in front of hundreds of people:

  • Forest School

    Forest school happens every Thursday. All children in KS1 get the opportunity to participate in forest school activities throughout the year.
