Class 4 with Mrs Bosley

Welcome to Class 4

Sam's Safari visits Netherton I&N School!

Year 1 received a visit from a very special lady with some very peculiar pets on Wednesday 26 April - Sam's Safari or more commonly known as the 'Animal Lady'. Classes 3 and 4 met a range of animals; from snakes and lizards to tortoises and hedgehogs. They even got to hold some of them!

See if you can find the hidden gecko on Mrs Bosley's arm!

Thanks goes to our very own FONS who paid for this wonderful visit into school.

Class 4 enjoyed making snowmen puppets and creating amazing multi media pictures of Castle Hill in the snow.
The children always work well together and created their own enormous maps using some of the symbols they learnt in Geography.
Chinese New Year was fun and the class found out which year they were born in, as well as making colourful masks.

Year 1 Get Set Day

On Tuesday our year 1 children headed up to the Junior School to take part in 'Get Set' activities. Get Set, is an outdoor PE lesson, which enables the children to experience games in different ways, to use unfamiliar equipment and to use the usual equipment in unusual ways. The event is presided over by specialist sports coordinators and some familiar young faces from school years past!

The children have settled well into Year 1. They have enjoyed creating amazing artworks in the style of Van Gogh, making clay discs, researching different trees, looking at plants in our poly-tunnel and generally just working very very hard. Well done class 4!
