School Meals & Milk

School Meals

As part of a Government initiative, school dinners for Early Years and KS1 children are now free. If you wish your child to bring a packed lunch, that’s fine. To transfer from school meals to packed lunches, or vice versa, written notice should be given in the half term before you wish the transfer to take place.

Please ensure that you inform school of any known allergies your child has.

Milk

Daily milk is offered at £11.50 per term to all children up to the end of the school year during which they reach the age of seven.  This is ordered on a termly basis and there is no rebate for milk not consumed.  There is no charge for Nursery children and for Reception children until the term in which they turn 5. (i.e. if your child's 5th birthday falls at any point within the Autumn Term - September to December, you will need to pay for the whole of that term)

Families who are in receipt of Income Support qualify for milk free of charge for any child attending school, when they apply to the Free School Meals Service and are successful in their application (please see the document below). All matters concerning free milk are dealt with confidentially.
